20 Things I wish I knew in my 20s…
  1. I’m allowed to say “No” to things I don’t want to say “Yes” to.
  2. If my heart, body, and mind are not aligned in a certain situation, then I must take a step back from what I’m doing to uncover why that is.
  3. I don’t need to please people if it makes me unhappy.
  4. Dating isn’t as scaaaaary as you think.
  5. If my opinion may not be taken well, I need to ask myself what’s more important to me – to be authentic or to belong.
  6. Your credit score can fluctuate as easily as 1-2-3.
  7. Baby steps are needed in everything you do.
  8. Giving people a second chance doesn’t make you naive, just hopeful.
  9. You don’t have to wait years to protect your peace. You can make changes right away.
  10. Grieving over old friends is more normal than you think.
  11. It’s okay if you don’t know what you’re doing, no one does.
  12. You don’t need to be working out and drinking green juices every damn day.
  13. REST IS IMPORTANT.
  14. Be sure to put aside a certain amount of money into a savings account every month.
  15. You cannot grow from comfort, push past the safe zone once in a while.
  16. Sometimes blood isn’t thicker than water. Family is one you choose; they are the ones who stay even when things are tough.
  17. Your body has been through a lot, don’t give it a hard time just because it doesn’t look the way Hollywood sells it.
  18. Giving people a third chance may be a bit of a risky move.
  19. True love is loving yourself from within.
  20. Don’t be afraid of reaching your 30s; it’s way cooler than you think.
