15 lessons to keep in mind in 2025

Well, well, well, looks like we’ve somehow made it to 2025. I was sick for a solid three weeks over the holidays and it was the shittiest timing ever. I got to reflect on 2024 (maybe a bit too much), cry about the things I wasn’t able to accomplish, and mourn the days that have passed on much too quickly.

It’s the first sunday of 2025 and I finally feel like me again, minus the almost-in-the-clear-sniffles-and-coughs. So, now would be a great time for me to share 15 lessons that I’ve learned (or learned again) in 2024 which I’ll be taking with me into 2025. (After my list, I’ll share some photos of some holiday fun that I managed to experience before I was hit with the common cold.)

  1. Patience pairs best with consistency.
  2. Kindness is freeing even if in the smallest encounters.
  3. Boundaries require backbone.
  4. Hot girl walks are fuel for the mind.
  5. Live in the present because who knows where we’ll be in the future.
  6. Try to live out a dream, act on it, but don’t fault yourself if it isn’t meant to be.
  7. Give yourself grace, with any challenge/difficulty you may face.
  8. Remove yourself from environments that eat away at your well being.
  9. Don’t take a helping hand for granted.
  10. Differing opinions can build bridges if the proper tone and language is used.
  11. Place love at the forefront of everything you do.
  12. Feel happiness in the little things.
  13. Remove what doesn’t serve you.
  14. Embarassment stings, but you will gain everlasting bravery points.
  15. Every day you get out of bed is a new day, so make it count or take it slow, just remember to enjoy it.
